Drafted the first Accountancy Law of Afghanistan for the Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Conducted intensive capacity building training for employees of the Ministry of Counter Narcotics of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Represented a leading U.S. DoD contractor in a $100+ million tax dispute with the Afghan Ministry of Finance. Work involved interacting with numerous government entities, the Embassy of the United States in Kabul, Attorney General’s Office of Afghanistan, and the Afghan Ministry of Finance, in relation to withholding tax issues, tax exemptions, corporate income tax, and customs and duties.
Assisted and advised numerous international clients on tax exemption, filing the necessary forms and obtaining tax clearance certificate.
Advised the largest local private construction project in Kabul.
Successfully assisted with the process of transfer of ownership of a real estate from a private individual to the name of a major international organization for the first time in the recent history of Afghanistan.
Advised on employment, civil, commercial and related legal matters to major Afghan and international corporations operating in Afghanistan.
Successfully discussed and resolved complex tax matters on behalf of international clients with the Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, resulting in unfreezing bank accounts of international contractors.
Advised numerous U.S.G. agencies on the laws of Afghanistan.
Represented and advised a wide range of USG/NATO contractors and private security companies in Afghanistan.
Drafted commercial and agency agreements, joint venture and teaming agreements with local partners, and leases within the territory of Afghanistan.
Advised and represented numerous commercial and defense transport matters, including teaming arrangements, transport leasing, sale and lease-back, and warehousing and distribution agreements within Afghanistan, security agreements, and partnerships.

Represented Afghanistan’s largest private bank in several transactions and litigations.
